The attack triggered sirens in Safed and nearby areas, prompting an immediate response from the IDF, which targeted the launch sites without causing any casualties.
Israeli fighter jets also conducted airstrikes on a Hezbollah position in southern Lebanon after previously striking two other locations where Hezbollah operatives had gathered, as confirmed by the IDF.

Responding to what it claimed were Israeli incursions into Lebanese territory, Hezbollah stated that it had launched “dozens” of Katyusha rockets at an Israeli army base in northern Israel, specifically targeting the headquarters of the 3rd Infantry Brigade of the 91st Division at Ein Zeitim Base.
Hezbollah justified its actions as retaliation against alleged Israeli attacks on southern Lebanese villages and civilian residences, citing recent incidents in Srifa, Odaisseh, and Rab Tlatin.
The escalation followed an earlier incident where a Hezbollah surface-to-air missile intercepted an Israeli military drone over southern Lebanon shortly after midnight. Hezbollah claimed responsibility for downing an Elbit Hermes 450 unmanned aerial vehicle near the Lebanese town of Aaichiyeh, situated approximately 13 kilometers from the Israeli border.
In response, Israeli fighter jets targeted the missile launch site involved in the drone interception. The IDF reported no injuries or damages in the subsequent rocket attacks targeting the border community of Arab al-Aramshe, where three rockets landed in open areas.
