Baloch activist Mir Yar Baloch has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting him to give permission to open an embassy of Balochistan. He has criticised the Pakistani Army for following an extremist and jihadist mindset.
‘Pakistan’s jihadi military conducted six nuclear tests’
Baloch posted on X, “We hope this letter finds you in Great Spirit and good health. Today, we, the Baloch nation, are writing this open letter to you when, twenty-seven years ago, on May 28, 1998, Pakistan’s jihadi military conducted six nuclear tests on our beautiful land Balochistan. In collusion with the Nawaz Sharif government, the Pakistani army secretly turned the majestic Ras Koh Mountains of the Chaghai range in Balochistan into a site of deadly explosions — without our will or consent.”

He further wrote, “By detonating six nuclear devices inside these magnificent mountains, Pakistan’s brutal military exposed our entire population to harmful nuclear radiation, pushing us toward a path of long-term devastation. Even today, the scent of explosives lingers in the mountains of Chagai and Ras Koh. To this day, our mothers in Balochistan continue to give birth to abnormal children with physical and mental disabilities as a consequence of those tests.”
‘Pakistan’s history reveals a consistent pattern of deception’
“Pakistan’s military is driven by an extremist, jihadist mindset. Exploiting Islam as a shield, the generals of Islamabad and Rawalpindi have consistently pursued their personal enrichment, using religion as a cover to inflate their bank balances. A study of Pakistan’s history reveals a consistent pattern of deception and manipulation to mislead the world. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan stole nuclear secrets from Europe and brought them to Pakistan. Had the global community taken firm action at the time, Pakistan would never have gained access to such dangerous nuclear capabilities. Later, the ISI misled the United States during the Soviet-Afghan war, pretending to be aligned with Washington, while behind the scenes, General Zia-ul-Haq continued developing Pakistan’s nuclear program,” the Baloch activist said in his post.
‘We can confront and triumph over our common enemy’
Baloch requested the Indian prime minister , saying: “On August 15, 2016, when you stood at the Red Fort and spoke with such grace and courage, you won the hearts of sixty million Baloch people. In return, Balochistan sent you heartfelt love and sincere well wishes. Sir, It is need of the hour to translate those words into Action to stand with 60 million people of Balochistan in a practical and meaningful way, representing the voice of 1.4 billion Indians. Together, we can confront and triumph over our common enemy. It is the desire of Bharatya and Baloch people that India should allow Balochistan’s embassy in Delhi and there should a proper communication between our two countries to discuss and protect our combined national and international interests in the region.”
