Australia’s MATES Scheme: Indian Graduates Can Work, Live In Country Without Employer Sponsorship – Check Details

MATES gives graduates of Indian University and the early career professionals with 2 year residency and work opportunity in the country.

Indian workers who are looking to move to Australia can use the scheme offered by the Australian government. The name of this scheme which will benefit the Indian workers is ‘The Mobility Arrangement for Talented Early Professionals Scheme (MATES).

MATES gives graduates of Indian University and the early career professionals with 2 year residency and work opportunity in the country. This is done by providing they employment in their field. The visa holder will be having 12 months to enter Australia. They can stay there for months from their initial entry. This visa allows several entries during the two year time.

Under this scheme the individual can apply for visa without getting any sponsorship from the Australian employer.

The individuals under the MATES can extend their stay in Australia. They can do this by applying for the permanent residence visa. This can be done when they match the eligibility criteria. This scheme is open to Indian people who are 30-years old and less than that during the time of filling the application and who got graduated from eligible institution in past two-years. The applicant who are applying for the scheme should have Bachelor’s degree or higher in field like mining, engineering, ICT, renewable energy, fintech and demonstrate English proficiency with overall IELTS score.
