This is expected to lead to an increase in tourism and create stronger connections between the two nations. Caucino further said that Argentina is keen to have more Indian visitors, so they can experience the culture, the variety of landscapes and attractions” of Argentina.
“The Argentine Government has eased entry into the country for Indian citizens with US visas. He further added, “This is a wonderful news for both Argentina and India. We’re ready to welcome more Indian tourists into our wonderful country,”
In the last few years, Argentina has been taking steps to increase tourism and bilateral ties with India. With India’s growing outbound travel market, several countries have eased visa requirements to lure Indian tourists. The new Argentine resolution is aligned with similar practices increasingly being adopted across the world where a valid US, UK or Schengen visa can facilitate entry into other countries.
For Indian travelers, who often must endure a lengthy application process for a visa, this announcement will eliminate a significant amount of administrative and bureaucratic steps. The easing of visa restrictions is also likely to contribute to far greater exchange and engagement, both contribution among people, and direct benefit to the tourism sector with the Argentine tourism sector recovering strongly from the pandemic.
