Israel: In view of the shortage of workers in Israel, the first batch of the Indian workers has taken off for war engaged country under the agreement between both the nations. Following the war, Israel has banned the permits of workers in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
According to Israeli Ambassador to India Naor Gillon, there are more than 60 Indians in this group. Naor Gillon, in a post on the social media platform X, wrote that an event was organized before the departure of the first batch of workers going to Israel.
Today we had a farewell event from the first batch of 60+ Indian construction workers going to Israel under the G2G agreement.

Israel had announced last year to recruit thousands of workers from India and other countries. Israel has imposed restrictions on thousands of Palestinian workers due to the ongoing war with Hamas. In such a situation, there was a shortage of workers in Israel. In December 2023, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during a phone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had called for sending Indian workers to Israel.
To promote relations between the two countries, a Government to Government i.e. G2G agreement was signed between India and Israel in the year 2018.

NSDC INDIA is a public limited company set up by the Ministry of Finance under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model and provides skill development and vocational training to Indian workers. However, Indians working in other countries remain under the surveillance of the Ministry of External Affairs. But no statement has come from the Foreign Ministry on this.
NSDC INDIA and Israeli companies had tested hundreds of workers from Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. All these workers were involved in masonry, carpentry, tiling and bar-bending.
After this, in November 2023, India and Israel signed an agreement on facilitating temporary employment of Indian workers in the construction and home-based work sector.

As per information, there are three thousand jobs each for framework workers and bar-vendors. Apart from this, there are two thousand jobs for tiling and plating. According to the advertisement, the monthly salary for this is more than Rs 1 lakh 37 thousand. However, the workers will have to pay the round-trip fare, taxes, health insurance and social security insurance.
