Kabul: At least 20 people were reported to be killed as a blast rocked the Russian embassy in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan on Monday. Two Russian diplomats were among those killed.
On Friday, there was a bomb blast in a crowded mosque. In this blast 18 people were killed and 23 people were injured. This is the second case of blast within 72 hours.
Taliban officials said the blast occurred during Friday afternoon prayers at the Gujargah mosque in Herat city, when there was a large crowd. Videos from the scene showed bodies scattered in the mosque courtyard, with blood stains on the ground. People were screaming in fear and shock.
