7.4-magnitude earthquake jolts Russia’s  Kamchatka, tsunami warning issued

Earthquake In Russia: The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said there is a possibility of "hazardous" waves along coasts within a radius of 300 kilometres (186 miles) of the quake's epicentre. 

A powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake hit the east coast of Russia's Kamchatka region on Saturday, September 13. According to the United States Geological Survey, the quake struck off 111 kilometres (69 miles) east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, at a depth of 39.5 km. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation as a tsunami warning is in place. Japan and other islands in the Pacific could experience wave heights below 30 cm.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said there is a possibility of "hazardous" waves along coasts within a radius of 300 kilometres (186 miles) of the quake's epicentre. Meanwhile, there are no immediate reports of any damage or casualties as of now.
