Nepal: A 4.3 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal at 1.33 am on Friday, May 23, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported. The NCS stated in an X post, “EQ of M: 4.3, On: 23/05/2025 01:33:53 IST, Lat: 29.36 N, Long: 80.44 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Nepal.” According to the Earthquake Monitoring Body, the tremors occurred at a depth of 10 km in Nepal. There have been no immediate reports of major damage or casualties so far.

On the other hand, an earthquake of magnitude 2.8 on the Richter scale struck Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh at 1.10 am at a depth of 10 kilometers. The quake’s epicentre was located at Latitude 27.51 N, and longitude 92.12 E. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) said, “EQ of M: 2.8, On: 23/05/2025 01:10:09 IST, Lat: 27.51 N, Long: 92.12 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh. ”
