Uzbekistan: In a shocking incident, a postwoman from Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Olga Leontyeva found dead inside a lift after being trapped for nearly three days with no one coming to rescue her, as per the Mirror.
A 32-year-old woman, Ms. Leontyeva, met a tragic fate when she got trapped in a lift in a nine-story building. She desperately screamed for help from the top floor, but unfortunately, her pleas went unanswered, and no one heard her cries.

Ms. Leontyeva leaves behind a six-year-old daughter, who is now being cared for by relatives. The incident has prompted the prosecutor’s office to initiate an investigation.
It was found that the lift, manufactured in China, was in working condition, but it had not been registered. The Regional Electricity Networks enterprise confirmed that there were no power outages on the day of the incident.
Based on statements from residents, the tragedy was attributed to a malfunction in the lift. A similar incident took place in Italy’s Palermo last week, where a 61-year-old woman named Francesca Marchione was found dead after becoming trapped in a lift during a power cut.
