A shocking incident in the US state of California has stunned people. A gang of approximately 25 thieves attacked a jewelry shop in San Ramon, stealing jewelry worth over ₹9 crore in seconds.
The robbery occurred at Heller Jewelers, located in the City Center Bishop Ranch Shopping Mall, on Monday afternoon. Police say the thieves were armed with at least three weapons. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras, which showed the masked thieves breaking display cases with iron rods and pickaxes. The thieves were briefly trapped inside the shop due to the automatic doors closing.
According to reports, one of the suspects fired several shots to break the glass door. Another CCTV video also showed that the thieves arrived in six different vehicles and parked their vehicles in the valet parking area, located approximately 100 feet from the shop.

Police Action
According to reports, seven suspects have been apprehended so far. Three adults and one juvenile were taken into custody in Oakland with the assistance of Oakland police, while Alameda County deputies arrested the other three adults at the Dublin BART station. All suspects are Oakland residents and range in age from 17 to 31. Police suspect they may be involved in similar incidents in the Bay Area.
Previous Incident
Heller Jewelers has previously been the victim of a major theft. On St. Patrick’s Day 2023, seven masked thieves broke into the store and stole approximately $1.1 million in jewelry.
The San Ramon Police Department reported that some of the stolen goods were recovered from some of the suspects arrested this time.
