New Delhi: There was a ‘terrorist attack’ on the training camp of the Russian army on Saturday. 11 soldiers were killed in the attack while 15 others were injured. The Russian Defense Ministry has confirmed this. It is being told that during the attack, Russian soldiers were engaged in training in the camp built in Belgorod area.
Two terrorists open-fired says Russian Defense Ministry
The Russian Defense Ministry said two terrorists opened fire on soldiers during a training session in western Russia. The ministry called the incident a terrorist attack.
It was said that a large number of soldiers were present in the training camp. These people were voluntarily taking training to join the ongoing war against Ukraine.

Attack being seen as a setback for Putin
The ministry said both the terrorists were citizens of the former Soviet republic and were killed after the attack. This attack is being seen as another setback for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The incident occured at the border
The ministry said in a statement that the firing took place in the Belgorod region of southwestern Russia, which borders Ukraine. The Russian military has carried out hundreds of missile strikes in Ukraine in the past week.
Recently, Russia has annexed four regions of Ukraine to its country. Putin had announced to send 3 lakh reserve troops to these places for the safety of the Russian people. To be sent to these places, ordinary citizens of Russia were taking training in the army camp.
