After polls close, EVMs are shipped to counting centres under close security. Applicants and their representatives are permitted to follow the transport vehicles.
EVMs are stored in secure strong rooms inside the Counting Centre premises, within the sight of competitors, their representatives, and Election Commission Observers.
Candidates and their representatives are permitted to keep a nonstop watch on the fixed solid rooms until counting starts.
Solid rooms are fixed with locks, and up-and-comers/their representatives can affix their seals for added security.
On the day of counting, the strong rooms are opened within the sight of competitors, their representatives, and Election Commission Observers.
After counting, EVMs are gotten back to strong rooms and sealed once more.
