Red lentils, onion, garlic cloves, carrot, celery stalk, tomatoes, cumin, turmeric, salt, pepper, and olive oil.
Heat the olive oil over medium-high heat, add the onion and garlic, and stir for 3-4 minutes, until fragrant.
Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened.
Stir in cumin, turmeric, salt, pepper, and red lentils. Cook for 2 minutes to release the spices' aroma.
