Grease the modak mould with a bit of ghee or butter. Keep aside.
Heat a pan. Then add 1 cup grated or crumbled mawa.
After 1 to 2 minutes the mawa would start melting.
Once the mawa has melted, then add 2 tablespoons of sugar to it. Mix and stir for a minute.
Then add chocolate chips. Keep stirring non-stop on low heat.
Place a small ball in the modak mould and gently press with your finger to shape it.
Place the prepared chocolate modak over a plate lightly greased with some ghee.
