Heat olive oil in a pan, saute garlic, and add ground meat. Cook until browned. Add classic Italian tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Boil lasagna sheets in salted water as per package instructions. Drain and lay them flat on parchment paper to avoid sticking.
In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, half the Parmesan, salt, and a pinch of Italian seasoning.
Layer meat sauce, lasagna sheets, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella; repeat and finish with meat sauce and mozzarella on top.
Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese over the final mozzarella layer for a golden crust.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes covered, 15 minutes uncovered, then rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
