Traditional Raw Jackfruit Curry Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup chopped raw jackfruit, 1 onion, 2 tomatoes, 2 tbsp curry powder, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, 1 tbsp oil, 1 cup coconut milk, Salt to taste.  

Prepare Jackfruit

Peel and chop the raw jackfruit into bite-sized pieces. Remove the seeds and the core.

Sauté Base

Heat oil in a pan, add onions, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until golden brown.

Adding Spices

Add spices – turmeric, red chili powder, coriander, and garam masala. Stir well.

Add Jackfruit

Add the chopped jackfruit pieces and sauté for 5-6 minutes.

Add Tomato Puree

Pour in the tomato puree and cook for another 5 minutes until it thickens.

Serve & Enjoy

Garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve hot with rice or roti.
