Finland takes the third position globally for air quality, achieving a remarkable score of 93.5, while also garnering perfect scores of 100 in sanitation, drinking water, and heavy metals exposure.
Malta's ascent in the EPI ranking is noteworthy, climbing from the 23rd spot to claim the 4th position between 2020 and 2022, accompanied by a commendable increase of 4.5 points in its overall score, a feat not shared by many other nations.
With an EPI score of 72.7, Sweden emerges as one of the world's leaders in sustainability, recognized for its minimal carbon dioxide emissions and reliance on renewable energy sources.
Luxembourg, with an overall score of 72.3, stands out particularly for its exceptional ratings in sanitation (100), drinking water (97.8), and wastewater treatment (98).
Similarly, Slovenia has made significant strides in EPI ranking, transitioning from the 18th position globally to securing a place among the top 10 between 2020 and 2022, marking a notable advancement.
