This competition is organized by the Sonoma Marine Fair, California.
The purpose of this competition to award the title of the world’s ugliest dog to show that even with these flaws, they are absolutely perfect.
An 8-year-old Pekingese named Wild Thang took top honors at this year’s competition.
Thang looks like this because when he was a 10-week-old puppy, he got a disease called canine distemper.
Due to this condition, his teeth did not develop, resulting in a tongue that always hangs out and a muscle disorder in one of his legs.
Dogs from many countries participated in it, some had no hair on their body, while some dogs had very big heads or big eyes.
