The Ultimate Christmas Dessert: Sticky Toffee Pudding

Ingredients

To make this dates, baking soda, boiling water, butter, brown sugar, eggs, flour, vanilla, salt; for the sauce: butter, brown sugar, cream.

Soak Dates

Start by soaking the dates in boiling water with baking soda for 10 minutes.

Make Cake Batter

Cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in the eggs, then stir in the flour, salt, and vanilla.

Add Dates & Bake

Fold in the soaked dates and pour the batter into a greased baking dish and Bake at 180°C.

Make Toffee Sauce

While the pudding is baking, melt butter and brown sugar in a pan.

Serve 

Serve warm with extra sauce and a dollop of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
