- Dosa batter - Tomatoes - Onion - Green chilies - Garlic cloves - Curry leaves - Turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt - Oil or ghee
Blend tomatoes, green chilies, garlic, and curry leaves into a smooth paste.
In a pan, heat oil and sauté onions. Add turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Add the tomato paste and cook until thick and aromatic.
Once the paste cools, mix it into the dosa batter until well combined. This will give the dosa a rich, red color and tangy flavor.
Heat a non-stick pan, pour a ladle of batter, and spread into a thin circle. Drizzle a bit of oil or ghee around the edges.
Cook on medium heat until the dosa is crispy and golden. No need to flip!
