1 cup rice flour, 1/4 cup urad dal, 1-2 green chilies, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/4 tsp sesame seeds, pinch of asafoetida, salt, 1 tbsp oil, warm water, oil for frying.
Cook toor dal in a pressure cooker with water for 3-4 whistles until soft.
Heat oil, add mustard, cumin, asafoetida, then sauté green chilies and mix in cooked toor dal.
Take dough, roll into small balls, and shape into cylinders or rounds.
Heat oil, fry dough pieces in batches until golden and crispy, then drain on paper towel.
Your delicious Pappu Chegodilu is ready. Serve them hot with coconut chutney or a cup of tea.
