All-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, unsalted butter, eggs, whole milk, vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, beat together the butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add wet ingredients to the dry mixture.
Spoon the batter into cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Beat softened butter and powdered sugar together until fluffy. Add rose water and a drop of food coloring, mix until smooth.
Once cupcakes have cooled, pipe the rose frosting on top in a swirl pattern.
Finish by delicately placing rose petals on top for that romantic touch.
