Sweeten Your Day With Homemade Gulgule

Take ½ cup chopped bananas and 6 tablespoons raw sugar in a bowl.

Make Batter

Mash very well with a fork or vegetable masher. Mix the sugar with the bananas as you go on mashing.

Add the ingredients to the mashed banana and sugar mixture - 1 cup whole wheat flour, fennel seeds, cardamom powder, salt and water. Mix it well.

Heat oil in a pan, Add spoonfuls of the batter to the oil. Fry on a medium heat.

Fry Gulgule

Keep turning for even frying till they are crisp and golden.

Once they are golden brown, remove them with a slotted spoon and place on kitchen paper towels to drain.

Remove Extra Oil

Serve Gulgule or Pua hot with Masala Chai or Ginger Chai.
