Start with damp, not soaking wet hair. If your hair is dripping wet, use a blow dryer on a low setting to remove excess moisture.
Mix a small amount of hair gel and hair cream together. The gel will provide hold while the cream adds shine and prevents a crunchy texture.
Slick the product mixture through your hair from roots to ends using your fingers or a wide-tooth comb. Focus on the top and sides for maximum impact.
Comb your hair back, either slicked straight back or with a deep side part. This creates a dramatic, wet-look effect.
Optionally, set with a light hold hairspray to keep flyaway in place without making hair stiff.
