Virender Sehwag may not need any introduction in the world of cricket today, but there was a time when he was surrounded by gangsters.
Sehwag said in an interview that in the area where he comes from Najafgarh, the children used to go astray and become gangsters.
When he used to play tennis ball cricket in Najafgarh, he used to play with gangsters.
He further shocked everyone when he said that the person with whom he used to play cricket in the evening, their dead bodies found the next morning.
Sehwag said that while playing we did not know that they were gangsters, as they were kids of the same age, later he came to know from the police.
He said that when he progressed in cricket, came to team India and got a new name, Nawab of Najafgarh, then everyone felt that cricket is also a way.
Sehwag, who made debut for team India in 2001, has played 364 international matches in his career, in which he scored more than 17000 runs.
