Summer brings warmth, but also an increase in allergens like pollen, insect stings, and certain plants. These can trigger skin reactions such as rashes, hives, and itching.
The most common symptoms include redness, swelling, rashes, itching, and even blisters. These reactions may occur immediately or within hours of exposure to an allergen.

Plants like poison ivy, oak, and sumac are common culprits for skin allergies during summer. Contact with these plants can lead to itchy, blistering rashes.
Insects like mosquitoes, bees, and wasps are more active in the summer. Their stings and bites can cause skin irritation, swelling, or allergic reactions in some people.
To soothe skin allergies, use antihistamines, hydrocortisone creams, cold compresses, or oatmeal baths. Avoid allergens and wear protective clothing when outdoors.
Prevent skin allergies by using sunscreen, avoiding direct contact with allergens, and keeping your skin moisturized. If symptoms persist, consult a dermatologist for further advice.
