1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup cocoa powder, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 cup sugar, 2/3 cup milk, 1/4 cup oil, 1 egg (optional), 1 tsp vanilla extract.
In a bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, oil, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. If using, fold in the dark chocolate chips.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Fill each donut mold about 2/3 full with the batter. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
For extra indulgence, dip the donuts in melted dark chocolate after cooling. Enjoy!
