This was the 7th win for team India in this tournament after their match was washed out against Ireland.
The win against England in the semi-final was the 49th win for India in the shortest format under the leadership of Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma has now become the most successful skipper in T20 internationals surpassing Babar Azam (48) for most wins.
Rohit also become the fifth Indian captain to score 5,000 runs across all formats.
Rohit laid the foundation by scoring 57 runs in a total of 171/7 in the semi-final, in reply England got all out in 103 runs in 17 overs with Kuldeep and Axar claiming 3 wickets each.
