Cook onion and garlic in butter for 5 minutes.
Add mushrooms, cooking for 10 minutes until soft.
Add stock, salt, pepper and boil, then simmer for 15 minutes.
Stir in cream and simmer for 5 more minutes.
Blend soup, covering lid with a towel.
Return to pot, simmer briefly, and serve with garnishes.
