Australian cricketer Shaun Marsh has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Marsh played his final match for the Melbourne Renegades on January 13th.
In that match against Melbourne Stars, Marsh played a match-winning innings of 64 runs
Marsh wreaked havoc with the bat in the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008. During the 2008 season, he scored 616 runs for Kings XI Punjab and won the Orange Cap
After making a mark in the IPL, Marsh earned a chance to represent the Australian cricket team
Marsh played 38 Test matches, 73 One Day Internationals (ODIs), and 15 T20 matches for Australia. In Test matches, Marsh accumulated a total of 2265 runs with an average of 34.31.
In ODIs Marsh holds a record of 2773 runs with an average of 40.77. He scored a total of 255 runs in T20 Internationals. Marsh also achieved the feat of scoring a total of 13 centuries in international cricket.
Left-handed batsman Shaun Marsh made his first-class debut at the age of 17, and now, at the age of 40, he has decided to retire from the game.
