Actually, Ola has announced the launch of its e-bike service. Following the success of this service in Bengaluru, plans are on to expand it to Delhi and Hyderabad as well.
Ola launched e-bike services in Delhi and Hyderabad using its 'ride-hailing platform'. The company stated that if the project is successful, the fleet of e-bikes would be expanded.
The most distinguishing feature of Ola's e-bike service is its low fare. People who commute by petrol bike will find that e-bikes are more cost-effective.
The cost of Ola e-bike service in Delhi and Hyderabad has been maintained very low. It costs Rs 25 for the first 5 km, Rs 50 for the first 10 km, and Rs 75 for the first 15 kilometers.
If the fare is calculated, it comes out to 5 per kilometer. Ola stated that e-bike service will be the most cost-effective, sustainable, and convenient mode of transportation within cities.
The company intends to deploy 10,000 e-bikes across Delhi and Hyderabad within the next two months.
According to Hemant Bakshi, CEO of Ola Mobility, "This Ola service is in line with our vision to serve 1 billion Indians through electric vehicles."
