A recent study by the UK's National Oceanography Centre disclosed a significant change in the color of the world's oceans.
It is observed that tropical and subtropical regions are the areas where changes in color are noticed.
They found that 56% of the world's sea area has undergone a change in color since 2002.
The areas near the equator have become greener than other regions.
The color is changed due to the high presence of plankton, which is a microscopic organism.
Heat caused by global warming is considered to be the reason for the changes.
