Nutty Delights: Homemade Peanut Butter Recipe For National Peanut Day

Prepare the Peanuts

If using raw peanuts, roast them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes until golden brown. Allow them to cool slightly.

Blend the Peanuts

Place the roasted peanuts in a food processor. Blend on high speed for about 1-2 minutes. Scrape down the sides as needed.

Add Ingredients

Once the peanuts start to clump together, add honey or maple syrup, peanut oil, and salt (if using). Blend again until smooth and creamy, about 1-2 more minutes. Adjust the consistency by adding more oil if desired.

Taste And Adjust

Taste the peanut butter and adjust sweetness or salt as needed. Blend again if necessary.

Store

Transfer the peanut butter to an airtight container. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a month.
