4 large Portobello mushrooms, 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar, 1 tsp dried thyme, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper, 4 hamburger buns, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and your favorite toppings!
Clean and prepare the mushrooms by removing the stems and scraping out the gills.
In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, thyme, salt, and pepper. Add the mushrooms and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the mushrooms from the marinade and grill for 3-4 minutes per side, or until tender and slightly charred.
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill. Add a grilled mushroom cap, followed by your favorite toppings.
Caramelized onions, roasted bell peppers, melted Swiss cheese, crispy bacon.
