In June 2024, there will be numerous significant celestial occurrences that will allow both casual sky watchers and devoted astronomers to appreciate the evening sky.
Both planets will be in very close proximity, able to be seen without the aid of any equipment but appearing clearer when viewed through binoculars or a small telescope.
The New Moon will create perfect stargazing conditions due to the lack of moonlight.
The beginning of astronomical summer in the Northern and winter in the Southern Hemisphere is scheduled to happen at 20:51 GMT.
The Strawberry Moon, the Full Moon in June, will reach its highest point at 01:08 GMT in the Sagittarius constellation.
The Moon will come very near to Saturn, potentially blocking it from sight in some areas.
