Make Quick & Easy Keralan Potato Stew

You need a potatoes, cumin seeds, coconut milk, some spices, peas, tej patta, cloves, black pepper, dry red chillies, oil and curry leaves.

Ingredients

Take 1 teaspoon whole black pepper and 2 cloves in a mortar-pestle. Crush coarsely.

Heat oil in a pan, add onions, curry leaves, mustard seeds, ginger- garlic, tej patta, then add crushed black pepper and cloves, saute them.

Next, add chopped potatoes. Mix the potatoes with the onions and spices.

Add Potato

Now, add 2 cups water. Season with salt, Cover the pan with its lid and simmer on medium heat.

Add Water

Keep the heat to low and add 1 cup thick coconut milk. Mix very well and heat for a minute or two.

Add Coconut Milk

Serve Potato Stew hot with appam.
