Easy Moong Dal Khichdi Recipe For Busy Days

– 1 cup moong dal (yellow lentils) – 1 cup rice – 1 tbsp ghee – 1 tsp cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp turmeric – 1/2 tsp ginger (grated) – Salt to taste – 4 cups water Optional: Add veggies like carrots, peas, and potatoes for extra nutrition!

Wash the moong dal and rice thoroughly. Soak for 10-15 minutes to ensure even cooking.

Wash And Soak

Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, ginger, and turmeric.

Temper The Spices

Add soaked rice and dal to the pan, stir well.

Add Rice And Dal

Then add water. Let it cook on low heat until soft and mushy.

Simmer

Garnish with Ghee and Serve hot.
