Mahalabia is a traditional Middle Eastern pudding made with milk, sugar, and cornstarch. It's creamy, sweet, and utterly delicious.

 What Is Mahalabia?

2 cups milk, 1 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon rose water, 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder, Chopped pistachios (for garnish).

 Ingredients

Heat ghee in a pan.

 Instructions

Combine milk, sugar, and cornstarch, whisk smooth, cook over medium heat until thickened, then stir in rose water, cardamom powder, and salt.

Add a pinch of saffron, try orange blossom water/lemon zest, or top with chopped nuts/shredded coconut for variations.
