KK's real name was Krishnakumar Kunnath. Born on August 23, 1968, in Delhi.
KK wasn't just a Hindi playback singer. He sang in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, and Gujarati, showcasing his versatile vocal talent.
KK's first major break came with the song 'Chhod Aaye Hum' from the movie Maachis (1996).
In 1999, KK released his debut solo album 'Pal,' which became an instant hit. Songs like 'Pal' and 'Yaaron' are still cherished as anthems of friendship and nostalgia.
Before making it big in Bollywood, KK sang over 3,500 jingles in 11 Indian languages, working with top ad agencies and brands.
Despite his busy career, KK was a devoted family man. He married his childhood sweetheart Jyothy in 1991, and they had two children.
KK was also an avid sports enthusiast. He enjoyed playing football and cricket during his school and college days, and continued to follow these sports passionately.
