Kozhukattai Recipe: A South Indian Delicacy 

Dissolve jaggery in water over heat until thickened, strain and set aside.

Dry roast coconut briefly, then mix with the jaggery syrup until sticky.

Add cardamom powder, stir, and let cool before shaping into small balls.

In a bowl, combine rice flour, salt, and ghee, and mix well.

Gradually add boiling water while stirring to form a soft dough, cover and rest for 5 minutes.

Shape the dough around the coconut filling, and steam for 6-10 minutes until shiny and cooked.

Shape it like a modak. Remove extra portion of the dough on top if any.

Steam cook covered for 6-10 mins and serve warm.
