In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and sugar. In another bowl, whisk together the beaten egg, milk, water, and melted butter.
Take about 1/2 teaspoon of red bean paste and mix it with some chopped walnuts to form small balls.
Preheat your hodugwaja pan (walnut-shaped waffle maker) over medium heat. Brush oil on both sides of the pan to prevent sticking.
Pour a small amount of batter into each mold of the preheated pan (about halfway full).
Quickly place the red bean paste ball in the center of each mold. Pour more batter over the top to cover the filling completely.
Close the pan and flip it over to cook on both sides. Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes, flipping occasionally until golden brown.
Once cooked, remove from the pan and let cool on a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
