In summer, the heat is typically dry, so your skin only becomes moist with sweat, remaining times it is dry.
In the rainy season, the constant humidity makes your skin sticky, but using the AC removes this stickiness.
That's why people use AC during the rainy season, but let's hear what the experts have to say about it.
H.S. Bhatia, Managing Director of Daewoo India, shares his views on whether to use AC during the monsoon season.
According to Mr. Bhatia, you can use AC in the monsoon, but it should be kept on Dry Mode.
Running the AC on Dry Mode during the monsoon offers two benefits: Firstly, it keeps you comfortable, and you won’t have to keep turning the AC on and off.
Secondly, it helps stop the spread of mold, which can become a problem during the humid monsoon season.
Use Dry Mode and set your AC to 24-26°C for a cool home without increasing your electricity bill.
Also, ensure that the outdoor unit of your AC remains clean and that no rainwater or other water collects on it.
Apart from using the AC, adding a dehumidifier to your home can help lower humidity levels and prevent the AC from consuming too much electricity.
