– 1 ¼ cups white sugar – 1 cup ghee (clarified butter) – 2 cups all-purpose flour – 4 eggs – ½ teaspoon vanilla extract – 3 tablespoons milk – 1 teaspoon baking powder – 2 teaspoons lemon juice
In a bowl, whisk ghee and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla essence for a fragrant touch.
Sift all-purpose flour and baking powder together. Gradually fold it into the wet mixture.
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30-35 minutes, or until golden and a skewer comes out clean.
Let the cake cool before slicing. Pair it with tea or enjoy it as is for a rich, buttery treat.
