All you need: Fresh radish (mooli), mustard oil, salt, turmeric, red chili powder, fennel seeds, and nigella seeds.
Wash and peel the radishes. Cut them into thin strips or small pieces, as you prefer.
Mix the mooli with salt, turmeric, red chili powder, fennel seeds, and nigella seeds. Make sure everything is coated well.
Pour in mustard oil and mix thoroughly. The oil helps in preserving the aachar and gives it that distinct flavor.
Cover and let the mixture marinate for a few hours, or overnight for more flavor.
