Zainab Khanam
- 2 tomatoes (pureed) - 1 onion (finely chopped) - 2 garlic cloves (minced) - 1 tbsp olive oil - Salt and pepper - 1 tsp Italian herbs (oregano, basil)
- 2 tbsp butter - 1 tbsp all-purpose flour - 1 cup milk - Salt and pepper - ¼ cup grated cheese
- 2 cups penne pasta - Water to boil - Salt (for boiling) - 1 tbsp olive oil
Boil penne pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and toss with olive oil to prevent sticking.
Saute garlic and onions in olive oil. Add tomato puree, season with salt, pepper, and herbs, then cook until thickened.
Melt butter in a pan, add flour, and stir. Gradually add milk, whisking continuously to avoid lumps. Once creamy, season with salt, pepper, and cheese.
Combine the red and white sauces in a pan. Add cooked pasta and toss until well coated.
Top with extra cheese, basil, or chili flakes. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Mix Sauce Pasta!
