– 2 cups whole milk – 1/4 cup heavy cream – 100g dark chocolate (chopped) – 2 tbsp cocoa powder – 2 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste) – 1/4 tsp vanilla extract – Whipped cream or marshmallows for topping
In a saucepan, combine milk and heavy cream. Heat over medium flame until just warm. Do not boil!
Lower the heat and whisk in the chopped dark chocolate and cocoa powder until fully melted and smooth.
Stir in the sugar and vanilla extract, mixing well to balance the sweetness and flavor.
Pour the hot chocolate into mugs. Top with whipped cream, marshmallows, or a sprinkle of cocoa powder for that restro-style touch!
