How To Make Beetroot Idli At Home

Ingredients needed – 1 cup grated beetroot, 1 cup idli rice, ½ cup urad dal, 1 tsp mustard seeds, A few curry leaves,  Salt to taste.

Ingredients 

Soak the rice and urad dal for 4–6 hours. Then blend them together to form a smooth batter. Let it ferment overnight.

Prepare Batter

Grate 1 cup of fresh beetroot. The vibrant color will give your idlis a natural pink hue.

Grate The Beetrrot

Add the grated beetroot to the idli batter. Mix well to combine and let the color blend in.

Mix The Ingredients

Pour the batter into greased idli molds and steam for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Steam The Idlis

Cool them a little, Use a spoon to un mould.

Let It Cool

Serve these colorful Beetroot Idlis hot with chutney.
