You only need 3 ingredients to make this tik chikki. Jaggery, Sesame seeds, ghee.
Heat a pan, add 200g sesame seeds, and dry roast for 4 minutes. Transfer to a plate.
Add 2 tsp melted ghee and 200g soft jaggery to the pan. Stir until the jaggery melts.
Set heat to low and cook the syrup until it reaches 300°F on a thermometer.
Add 2 pinches of baking soda, stir in toasted sesame seeds, and mix well with the syrup. Turn off heat.
Transfer the mixture to parchment paper, cover with another sheet, and roll to 1/6-inch thickness while warm.
Peel off the top parchment paper, score with a knife, and let it set for 30-60 minutes.
Once set, break into strips, then cut each strip into squares.
Serve the delicious sesame chikki and enjoy a sweet, crunchy treat.
