Homemade Kaadha To Cure Cold And Cough

In a pan, boil 2 cups of water on medium heat.

Add 1 inch of crushed ginger and 8-10 tulsi (holy basil) leaves to the boiling water.

Toss in 1 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 cinnamon stick, and 2-3 cloves for their healing properties.

Add Spices

Stir in ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder to boost immunity and fight infections.

Let the kadha simmer for 10-15 minutes until the water reduces to about half.

Simmer

Strain the liquid into a cup using a strainer to remove the spices and herbs.

Once cooled slightly, add 1 teaspoon of honey and a few drops of lemon juice for taste and additional health benefits.
