1 cup chickpea flour (besan), 2 tbsp rice flour, ½ tsp carom seeds (ajwain), 1 tsp cumin seeds, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste, water (as required), oil for frying.
sMix chickpea flour, rice flour, ajwain, cumin, turmeric, and salt in a bowl.Slowly add water to make a stiff dough.
Take small portions of dough and roll them into long, thin strips. Press each strip gently with your fingers to flatten.
Carefully slide the flattened dough strips into the hot oil and fry until golden and crispy. Don’t overcrowd the pan.
Once golden, remove the Fafda from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. Let them cool slightly.
Serve Fafda hot with spicy chutney and a cup of masala chai for the perfect snack experience! Enjoy the crunch in every bite.
